Job summary
Northwestern Mutual College Financial Representative internship provides guidance, coaching, and a framework for starting an integrated financial planning practice while you’re in college. You will learn to prospect, develop a business strategy, and meet clients to understand their goals, with access to exclusive products and executives from a Fortune 500 company.
You’ll participate in weekly coaching, gain exposure to planning software, and have opportunities to interview for full-time roles
Qualifications
- : Must be a full-time student; juniors and seniors preferred.
- : Entrepreneurial ambitions and curiosity for sales.
- : Highly involved on campus (leader, athlete, campus orgs, student government, etc)
- : Excellent time-management skills.
- : Interest in financial literacy and planning tools.
- : Business savvy and desire to increase critical thinking abilities.
Responsibilities
- Learn how to prospect and network to build your business and client base
- Develop and execute on a business strategy
- Call on potential clients and set meetings to understand their financial goals
- Prepare plans and offer useful recommendations
- Gain exposure to proprietary planning software platforms
- Engage in weekly coaching, training, and development meetings
- Receive Risk Product State Licensing: Life, Accident, and Health
