Job summary

Lyon County School District is hiring a College and Career Readiness Interventionist to support at-risk students in achieving graduation and post-secondary transitions. You will provide targeted interventions, counseling, and work-based learning experiences based on high school competencies and data-driven planning.

Responsibilities include collaboration with counselors, development of IAPs, and facilitating career advisement, college planning, and family outreach to strengthen student success

Qualifications

• Experience analyzing student data to identify needs and monitor progress.
• Ability to develop individualized academic plans and track outcomes.
• Knowledge of educational interventions and career guidance strategies.

Responsibilities

• Establish supportive relationships with students, families, and staff.
• Collaborate with counselors and teachers to implement curriculum and supports.
• Analyze data and coordinate intensive academic supports and tutoring.
• Administer tests and document results in the data system.
• Monitor progress and provide remediation including credit recovery.
• Develop monthly individualized academic plans (IAP) for all rostered students.
• Support career exploration, college planning, and life skills instruction.
• Lead field trips and real-life learning experiences aligned with goals.
• Ensure compliance with IEPs and related mandates.
