Job summary

Bon Appétit Management Company is hiring immediately for a full-time CHEF at Wabash College in Crawfordsville, IN. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM, with weekend availability required. One year of culinary experience is required.

Directs kitchen operations, supervises cooks, prepares high-quality meals from standardized recipes, and ensures sanitation and proper serving temperatures. Pay range is $21.00–$25.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• One year of culinary experience is required.
• Strong food safety and sanitation knowledge preferred.
• Experience supervising kitchen staff is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervises cooks and kitchen staff, ensuring food preparation and service standards.
• Coordinates scheduling, training, and payroll for hourly kitchen staff.
• Prepares high-quality food per standardized recipes to meet production and service schedules.
• Maintains presentation, quality, portions and safe serving temperatures.
• Tracks food use and waste to inform purchasing decisions.
• Checks received products for quality and quantity to ensure inventory levels.
• Maintains sanitation of equipment and work areas and ensures a clean workstation.
• Assists in recipe and menu development.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
