Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or other credential related to education, or a combination of education and experience to be successful in the role.
• Excellent oral/written communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work in a team-oriented environment
• Ability to work with multiple constituents throughout the state and region
• Experience working with underrepresented and underserved students and their families
• Travel and the ability to work some evenings and weekends
• Virginia Tech knowledge through education or work experience

Responsibilities

• Inform prospective students and families about post-secondary education opportunities.
• Advocate for Pell-eligible students participating in CAC pre-college programs.
• Help prepare students for a smooth high school-to-college transition.
• Gather data and assist with program evaluation.
