University of Massachusetts Boston is seeking an Educational Outreach Counselor to provide comprehensive college, career, and academic advising for a large caseload within TRIO programs.

You will collaborate with partner schools, family engagement staff, and university colleagues to promote high school persistence and postsecondary access, while delivering workshops and tracking outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Career Development, Human Services, Education, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in a secondary school, higher education, or similar setting.
• Experience working with Talent Search-eligible students and families, including individuals with disabilities.

Responsabilités

• Manage a caseload of approximately 300–350 students with individual and group advising.
• Deliver college and career readiness workshops and curriculum.
• Recruit and enroll eligible students in collaboration with school staff and families.
• Coordinate advising, workshops, student referrals, college visits, and enrichment opportunities.
• Maintain accurate participant records and program data for reporting.
