Job summary

Opportunity Resource Services is seeking a College Access Advisor to support TRIO EOC participants with educational planning, college and financial aid applications, and event development. The role will primarily serve the Cleburne office and Johnson County partners in a hybrid setting, with some outreach to partner schools.

The position is part-time (approximately 25–28 hours per week) with a flexible schedule, including some evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary coursework in education, social work, or related field required or equivalent experience.
• Experience working with disadvantaged populations and knowledge of college admissions and financial aid procedures.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel between designated sites.

Responsibilities

• Administrative: manage a caseload of EOC clients, answer calls, handle mailouts, maintain data and records, complete time and effort reports, and support partnerships.
• Programmatic: assist with college applications, financial aid applications, scholarships, plan and facilitate workshops and events, provide high-impact advising, and connect clients to services.
• Travel & physical demands: willingness to travel across DFW, occasional overnight travel, and ability to lift 40 lbs., stand, and drive as needed.

Education

Post-secondary coursework in education, social work, or related field

Associate's degree or higher (preferred)
