Job summary

Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. in Ankeny, IA seeks a Credit & Collections specialist to answer inbound calls, process payments, and make credit release decisions following established procedures.

You will refer disputes to field personnel, arrange payments on delinquent accounts, and perform outbound collection calls to support credit release procedures. You will escalate disputes when necessary and help the team meet service levels.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years in credit and collections.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Proficient in Word and Excel.

• You are expected to answer inbound phone calls from internal and external customers
• Process payments efficiently and accurately
• Make credit release decisions following established procedures aligned with The Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. way
• Refer customer disputes to field personnel for final resolution
• Make payment arrangements on delinquent accounts to support customer retention
• You will perform outbound collections calls to support credit release procedures
• Escalate customer disputes and collections situations when necessary to ensure timely resolution
• You will assist the team in meeting inbound service level standards, contributing to overall customer satisfaction

What makes you great

• You hold a high School diploma or General Educational Development certificate is required
• More than two years of experience in Credit and Collections roles
• Proven ability to handle inbound calls effectively in a fast-paced environment
• You are proficient computer skills, especially in Word and Excel
• Strong customer service orientation with excellent verbal communication skills
• You have demonstrated success working collaboratively in a team environment
