Job summary

Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. is seeking a Customer Solutions Specialist to maintain relationships with regional customers and sales staff, process orders, and resolve issues.

You will provide product sales support to customers and the sales team while using business software to verify inventory and process orders. The role requires 2–4 years of customer service or in-store sales experience, knowledge of relevant gas products, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently with

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; college or equivalent experience preferred.
• Minimum 2–4 years of customer service or in-store sales experience.
• Prior industry experience including knowledge of current company products (industrial gas, specialty gas and medical gas).
• Knowledge of hardgoods and welding supplies or hands-on welding industry experience is a plus.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft applications and Lotus Notes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
• Ability to work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ongoing relationships with regional customers and sales staff by answering incoming calls, correcting order issues, processing orders and resolving product or service issues.
• Process sales orders and changes; confirm shipment dates and cancellations.
• Provide product sales and support to customers, Customer Solutions Specialists and outside sales staff.
• Retrieve customer information, verify inventory levels and process orders using business software.
• Verify customer credit status and issue credits or debits as needed.
• Provide quotes and assistance to sales force and management within set parameters.
• Suggest additional and/or alternative products and services to meet customer needs within pricing guidelines.
• Distribute informational materials such as sales brochures and marketing flyers.
• Handle phone inquiries for service calls and part orders.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with internal PDI customers.
• Strive to meet call center performance metrics.

Job description

• You will maintain ongoing relationship with regional customers and sales staff by answering incoming calls, correcting order issues, processing customer orders, and resolving customer product or service issues
• Processes sales orders and order changes and confirms shipment/delivery dates and cancellations
• You will provide product sales and support to customers, other Customer Solutions Specialists, as well as our outside sales team
• Uses business software systems to retrieve customer information, verify inventory levels and process orders
• You are responsible for verifing customer credit status and completes necessary paperwork to issue credits or debits
• Provides quotes and assistance to sales force and management within set parameters
• You will suggest additional and/or alternative products and services to meet customer needs, following established pricing guidelines
• Provides customers with informational materials such as sales brochures, marketing flyers, etc
• You are responsible for phone inquiries for service calls and part orders
• Builds and maintains effective working relationships with all internal PDI customers
• You will perform at a high level to meet call center performance metrics

Pay Range: $23-$30 per hour, depending on experience.
