Job summary

Jobot Consulting is seeking a Collections Specialist in Houston, TX for a temporary contract (1–3 months) on-site. You’ll own aged receivables, resolve balances, and support a collaborative Finance team. 20–30 hours per week, $19-$20 per hour, DOE.

You’ll proactively collect on 90+ day accounts, research discrepancies, and work with the Finance group to improve cash flow. The role offers hands-on AR duties and potential extension based on performance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on Collections experience.

Responsibilities

• Proactively collect outstanding balances, prioritizing 90+ day receivables
• Research and resolve aged accounts, discrepancies, and payment issues
• Review historical records and systems to reconcile outstanding balances
• Communicate with customers to secure payments and resolve disputes
• Support A/R activities, including cash applications and invoicing as needed
• Track collection progress and provide updates on outstanding balances
• Identify opportunities to improve collections processes and efficiencies
