Job summary

Sound Credit Union seeks an entry-level Loss Management Representative in Tacoma, WA. The role focuses on delinquent account recovery, negotiating payment plans, and maintaining detailed documentation to support collection efforts.

This position offers a hybrid schedule with Mon–Fri hours and rotating Saturdays. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in financial institutions and solid communication skills to support member relationships.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a financial institution is required.
• Account collection experience is preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Contact members through various channels to resolve delinquent accounts, negotiate payment arrangements, and document collection efforts while preparing regular activity reports.
• Manage charged-off loan recovery processes, recommend charge-offs and legal actions, and handle bankruptcy accounts, including monitoring and reviewing assigned cases.
• Administer insurance follow-ups, respond to credit bureau disputes, and ensure high member satisfaction.

The target salary range for this position is $22.86 – $28.57, depending on previous experience and education.
