This 100% remote, temporary-to-hire position is open to candidates located within 50 miles of the Philadelphia area. The role focuses on connecting with individuals who have overdue tuition accounts and assisting them with flexible payment plan options, all while maintaining a positive and professional approach.

Job Title: Collections Representative

Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Collections Representative to join our client and support their financial operations. This 100% remote, temporary-to-hire position is open to candidates located within 50 miles of the Philadelphia area. The role focuses on connecting with individuals who have overdue tuition accounts and assisting them with flexible payment plan options, all while maintaining a positive and professional approach.

Compensation:

• $17.00–$17.50 per hour
• Bonus opportunities available upon permanent hire
  
  

Work Schedule:

• Monday–Thursday: Day shift (8:00 AM–4:00 PM) and evening shift (1:00 PM–9:00 PM), with a 30-minute lunch
• Friday: 8:00 AM–3:00 PM
• Two Saturdays per month (8:00 AM–11:45 AM), based on representative’s preference
  
  

Key Responsibilities of the Collections Representative:

• Reach out to individuals with overdue tuition balances to offer flexible payment plans
• Make approximately 150 outbound calls daily—no auto-dialer involved
• Explain payment obligations and relevant agreements in a clear, empathetic manner
• Document all communications and update collection systems accurately
• Notify co-signers as needed when primary account holders do not fulfill obligations
  
  

Qualifications and Skills for the Collections Representative:

• 1–3 years of experience in collections, customer service, or a related field
• Strong communication skills with the ability to handle high call volumes
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel—must be able to navigate and update spreadsheets without altering existing formulas
• Reliability and commitment to long-term employment—job-hopping is a red flag for this role
• Comfortable working in a structured, fast-paced remote environment
