What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Engage with patients to address outstanding balances and resolve billing inquiries promptly
- Verify contractual payments on accounts and process payment plans effectively
- Follow up on self-pay balances through targeted work lists, including pre-collection and hardship cases
- Maintain the accuracy of patient database by entering and editing data related to billing and payments
- Collaborate with the Pre-Certification department to process Notices of Procedures

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED required
- At least five (5) years of experience in medical billing and insurance claim filing
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD, and CPT codes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Excellent customer service and communication skills

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous collections experience and familiarity with medical billing software
- Ability to navigate computer software and database management proficiently
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
