Job summary

ABNB Federal Credit Union in Chesapeake, VA is looking for a Collections Clerk to maintain records and assist the Collections Department. The role focuses on processing collateral protection policies, billings, Credit Bureau disputes, and file retrieval with accuracy, speed, and discretion.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and 1–3 years of related experience. Strong written and verbal communication, solid PC skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office are essential.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of related collections or banking experience.
• Strong written and oral communication.
• Proficient PC use and office equipment.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook/SharePoint/Excel/Word).

Responsibilities

• Process collateral protection insurance policies and claims.
• Process third-party billings and payments; disburse funds for financial counseling.
• Research, process, and report Credit Bureau disputes.
• Retrieve files for the Collection Department and purge as needed.
• Perform other job related duties as assigned.
