Job summary

DBL Law in Covington, KY is seeking a Collections Paralegal to support a supervising attorney group, improve attorney efficiency, and ensure accurate handling of files and correspondence. The role emphasizes confidentiality, precise document management, and collaboration with debtors, clients, and courts.

The ideal candidate has foreclosure and/or litigation experience, strong research and communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and case-management tools like Q-Law.

Qualifications

• Foreclosure and/or litigation experience with drafting and filing.
• Strong research, analytical, and organizational abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to format and produce professional documents.
• Experience with Q-Law or similar case-management software.
• Knowledge of records-retention procedures and handling confidential information.
• Familiarity with iManage, scanning, and electronic filing.
• Ability to maintain client confidentiality and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and organize files, documentation, and supporting materials for attorney review.
• Manage daily workflow by updating case statuses, coding accounts in Q-Law, and reviewing documents for accuracy.
• Draft and prepare written correspondence to debtors, clients, opposing counsel, and courts.
• Conduct skip-tracing to obtain updated location and contact information.
• Communicate with debtors, clients, attorneys, and court personnel to obtain information and support case progression.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
