STV is seeking a Collections Manager to join the corporate accounting team. This position is designated as hybrid (3 days week/in office) and can be located in one of the following offices: Douglassville, PA, Philadelphia, PA, or New York, NY.

The Collections Manager will oversee the collection of accounts receivable, develop strategies for debt recovery, and ensure compliance with legal regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee Collection Efforts: Manage collections, working with Project Accounting & Billing and Project Management, to ensure timely recovery of outstanding debts and maintain a healthy cash flow for the organization.
  • Goals and Forecasting: Understand the company’s collections forecast and set goals and targets to align with cash needs.
  • Develop Strategies: Create and implement effective collection strategies to maximize debt recovery while maintaining positive client relationships.
  • Monitor Accounts: Analyze delinquent accounts and determine appropriate actions, including negotiating payment plans or settlements with customers.
  • Compliance: Ensure all collection activities comply with federal and state regulations, as well as company policies.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on collections activities and performance metrics to management.
  • Customer Communication: Address client inquiries and resolve disputes regarding outstanding debts professionally and effectively.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in collections.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of debt collection laws and practices, including the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze collection data, identify trends, and develop improvement strategies.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills, along with the ability to build relationships with team members and clients and resolve issues.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting and general ledger software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Compensation Range:

$63,305.00 - $84,407.00
