Job summary

University of Oklahoma's Bizzell Memorial Library seeks a Student Library Assistant to staff the 5th Floor Special Collections and help patrons with several distinctive collections. You will greet visitors, answer inquiries at the desks, and explain reading room rules while assisting with various special collections and projects.

Work hours will be coordinated with your class schedule; occasional evening or Saturday duties may be required; a background check is required and you must be enrolled

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in the Fall Term as a student at the University of Oklahoma.
• Attachment of Fall 2026 class schedule is required.
• Background check will be performed.

Responsibilities

• Staff Welcome Desk and Research Desk; greet visitors and answer phones.
• Explain reading room rules and assist with collection materials.
• Assist with digitization, interlibrary loans, stacks, and maintenance.
