Job summary

ProspectBlue is helping a Richmond, VA client add a Collections Analyst to the credit team. You will work on accounts, solve problems, and partner closely with sales to manage risk and collections.

Responsibilities include collecting past due balances, negotiating plans, following up on CODs, handling inquiries, reconciling records, and issuing demand letters as needed. This is a hands-on role with collaboration across branches.

• Partner with sales and Senior Credit Analyst on large projects to assess risk.
• Issue demand letters on escalated accounts and decide when to proceed to outside collections.
• Assist branches in resolving disputes.

ProspectBlue is working with a client in Richmond, VA to find a Collections Analyst!

We're working with a well-established distribution company that's adding a Collections Analyst to its credit team. This is a good fit for someone who likes working accounts, solving problems, and partnering closely with sales.

What you'll do

• Collect past due balances on assigned accounts and negotiate payment plans, keeping the sales team in the loop on accounts of concern
• Follow up daily on open CODs
• Handle calls and emails from branch staff and customers to take payments, answer billing questions, and resolve credit issues
• Reconcile accounting records with customers
• Review lien waivers for accurate legal language and tie them back to accounting records
• Work with sales and the Senior Credit Analyst on large projects to assess and reduce risk
• Issue demand letters on escalated accounts and decide when an account should go to outside collections
• Help branches work through disputes
