Job summary

University Library is seeking an Orbach Collection Maintenance & Student Project Coordinator to support access to materials and oversee student staff. The role requires coordinating student assistants, maintaining efficient workflows, and assisting with special projects in the Orbach Science Library and Rivera Library.

The incumbent will work under general supervision, typically 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, full-time, at Main Campus - UCR with flexibility to cover additional hours.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of library practices and procedures.
• Ability to hire, train, schedule and evaluate student assistants.
• Ability to direct student assistants to maintain workflow.

Responsibilities

• Search for materials patrons or staff cannot locate.
• Advise on search results and refer to appropriate library departments.
• Assist in hiring, training, scheduling and evaluating student assistants.
• Direct workflow in the Collection Maintenance unit.
• Support special projects as needed and coordinate hours at multiple libraries.
