Job summary

Connection, Inc. is seeking a Collection Analyst to support a portfolio of customer accounts and work toward timely resolution of routine collection questions, payment issues, and order holds.

You will work under the guidance of the Supervisor of Collections and will have clear procedures, support, and opportunities to grow your knowledge over time.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; ability to email, create documents, and manipulate data in Excel.
• Good math skills and an interest in learning basic accounting functions.
• Strong attention to detail and proofreading for accuracy.
• Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills.
• A positive, team-oriented attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Work with customers and internal teams to help resolve payment application, pricing, tax, freight, return, and delinquency questions.
• Support a portfolio of approximately 800–1,000 customer accounts.
• Review and process held orders to help ensure timely order release.
• Request documentation from Account Managers, such as hard copy purchase orders, when needed.
• Review first-time shipping addresses and specific products to support fraud prevention efforts.
• Complete one assigned weekly or monthly department report.
• Participate in special projects and support team coverage as needed.
