Job summary

Ellucian seeks a Colleague Technical Consultant to join our Product Modernization team, delivering technical modernization to Colleague customers. You will collaborate with DevOps Engineers and project managers, guiding migration to SaaS solutions using agentic tooling, while supporting data conversion and customer enablement.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a customer-facing role within a Colleague software environment.
• Experience providing programming, analysis, and end-user support for Colleague.
• Experience with packaging and installation of software updates.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented project environment.
• Ability to take ownership of assigned tasks and responsibilities.
• Ability to manage and track multiple projects.
• Ability to use customer support resources to research and resolve issues.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication, training, and presentation skills.
• Strong prioritization skills with the ability to manage activities based on business impact.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of UniBasic.
• Knowledge of UniQuery.
• Knowledge of Evision.
• Knowledge of Colleague Electronic File Transfers (ELF).
• Basic SQL skills.
• Understanding of data import and export concepts.
• Understanding of basic system administration.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with a team of DevOps Engineers to provide feedback on agentic migration tooling and scripts.
• Support project managers in guiding customers and delivering technical consulting services.
• Provide guidance with the conversion of client legacy data to Colleague.
• Promote customer use of Ellucian resources such as the Solution Center and product documentation.
• Contribute to customer satisfaction and time-to-value improvements.

About the Opportunity

Ellucian is seeking a talented Colleague Technical Consultant to join our Product Modernization team delivering Technical Modernizations to Colleague customers. In this role, you will work closely with higher education clients, collaborating with DevOps Engineers and project managers, and working independently to support the migration of Colleague customers to our SaaS solution(s) using our agentic migration tooling. You will bring a strong blend of application development expertise and technical skills to help institutions and our engineering teams accomplish modernize their campuses. As colleges and universities embrace cloud and SaaS technologies to drive student success, you will play a critical role in guiding customers through their transformation and supporting the successful adoption of Ellucian solutions and our internal tooling.

Where you will make an impact

• Work directly with a team of DevOps Engineers to provide concise feedback on agentic migration tooling and scripts
• Support project managers in providing guidance to customers to maintain open communication and deliver professional technical consulting services.
• Provide guidance and assistance with the conversion of client legacy data to Colleague.
• Promote customer use of Ellucian resources such as the Solution Center, product documentation, and Communities.
• Contribute to successful outcomes measured through customer satisfaction, project achievement, and improving time to value (time to go‑live)
