Job summary

Wilsonart in Temple, Texas has an opening for a Collator Helper in the Corestock department. The role involves obtaining material for collating, ensuring the machine runs properly, and performing required tasks. Night shift runs 9pm–7am on Monday/Tuesday and Friday/Saturday.

• Change pallets and ensure tags are placed on completed pallets.
• Set up rolls for incoming crew.
• Maintain regular attendance.
• Train in backup positions as required.

Job Description

Wilsonart in Temple, Texas has an opening for Collator Helper

Temple, Texas Corestock department currently has an opening for a Collator Helper. The Collator Helper obtains raw material to be collated at specified lengths as determined by the Product Quality Department. Make sure machine is always running properly. Performs other task as needed. This position is for night shift working 9pm - 7:00 am, Monday/Tuesday and Friday/Saturday.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Obtain Kraft rolls for collating as needed.
• Visually inspect rolls for damage, discard any damaged paper in the appropriate waste can.
• Continually monitor raw materials for visual quality and line up, make any necessary adjustments.
• Thread machine up; make splices and re-thread machine as needed.
• Change out pallets and make sure corresponding tags are placed in each completed pallet.
• Set up rolls for oncoming crew.
• Regular attendance required.
• Train in back up positions as required (Phenolic/Corestock). Operate multiple pieces of industrial equipment

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Operation of equipment and machinery in a safe manner.
• Knowledge of the safety standards applicable to the Production areas and other pertinent rules / regulations governing Knowledge of computers is sufficient to input and retrieve data

EXPERIENCE:

One year's work experience required.

Physical Requirements

Heavy work - Heavy work. Tasks involve pushing / pulling of material up to 100 lbs., lifting up to 85 lbs. from floor to mid-thigh, lift to 50 lbs. from mid-thigh to shoulder, lift 40 lbs. from shoulder to overhead, carry up to 135 lbs. and standing and walking during a minimum ten-hour shift.

Environment

Located in an environment with regular exposure to fumes or odors, temperature extremes, or loud noises which cause noticeable discomfort or moderate risk of accident or illness. Examples: engineering, waste mgt, laundry workers and yards/grounds staff
