Job summary

Wilsonart is seeking a Deco Roll Operator to retrieve and return deco rolls within the collating and sheeting areas at our Temple, TX facility. This role supports the material coordinator and production teams, with a focus on accurate roll inventory and timely changeouts.

You will inspect rolling stock, assist with rewinds or combines, and operate fork/clamp lifts as needed while adhering to safety standards and Oracle inventory procedures. Weekend rotations are possible.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years experience operating a deco clamp lift.
• Six months experience in melamine or assembly is preferred.
• Experience with deco rolls is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Check schedules to determine rolls to retrieve.
• Follow Oracle procedures for roll transactions.
• Assist in keeping roll inventory accurate and organized.
• Assist with rewinding or combining rolls and changing outs.
• Return decorative rolls to inventory locations.

Assist in maintenance of deco roll inventory. These tasks will be performed under the direction of the material coordinator, crew leader, and supervisor. Performs other tasks as needed.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Check sheeter and collator schedules to determine rolls to retrieveFollows Oracle procedures for roll transactionsAssists in keeping roll inventory accurate and organizedInspects rolling stock, changes batteries as needed, and reports any maintenance issuesAssists sheeting and collating operators with change outs as neededAssists with rewinding of deco rainbow rolls or combining of small like pattern rollsReturn decorative rolls to roll inventory locationsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:Knowledge of safety standards applicable to work area and other pertinent rules/regulations governing work standardsMust be trained to operate fork/clamp lift and Drexel liftAbility to understand and follow directionsAbility to work independentlyAbility to read and understand production schedulesWorking knowledge of Oracle inventory transactionsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTSEDUCATION: High School Graduate or GEDEXPERIENCE: 1+ yearsApplicants must have six (6) months experience operating deco clamp lift plusSix (6) months entry level experience in melamine or assemblyIf no applicants possess this experience, the Company will accept applicants with one (1) year Wilsonart experience.WORKING CONDITIONSPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking/pushing/climbing and lifting material or equipment of heavy weight (>50 lbs) Examples: grounds staff and EMSPosition consists of working rotating shift work and week-ends.ENVIRONMENT: Located in an environment with regular exposure to fumes or odors, temperature extremes, or loud noises which cause noticeable discomfort or moderate risk of accident or illness.
