Job summary

Wilsonart is hiring for a production roles in our manufacturing facility. You will obtain raw materials, ensure the machine runs properly, and support the production line for D1. This position requires attention to quality, safety standards, and the ability to handle heavy physical tasks.

Qualified candidates have a High School diploma or GED and at least 6 months Contech or related experience. Prior experience with phenolic materials is a plus, and reliable attendance is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 6 months Contech experience; if none, 1 year in Phenolic/Core area.
• Ability to operate and adjust production machinery safely and follow quality guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Obtain daily inventory needs from Phenolic Checker or Team Lead.
• Visually inspect rolls for damage and discard damaged paper appropriately.
• Monitor raw materials for quality and alignment; make adjustments as needed.
• Thread machine, perform splices and re-threading as required.
• Change pallets and ensure tags are placed on completed pallets.
• Complete all computer work and paperwork accurately.
• Set up rolls for upcoming crew.
• Maintain regular attendance.

Job Description:

Obtain raw materials to be collated at specified lengths as determined by the Product Quality Department. Make sure machine is running properly at all times. This opening is for D1.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Obtain daily inventory needs from Phenolic Checker or Team Lead
• Visually inspect rolls for damage, discard any damaged paper in the appropriate waste can
• Continually monitor raw materials for visual quality and line-up, make any necessary adjustments
• Thread machine up; make splices and re-thread machine as needed
• Change out pallets and make sure corresponding tags are placed in each completed pallet
• Make sure all computer work and paper work is completed
• Set up rolls for oncoming crew
• Regular Attendance Required

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:

• Operation of equipment and machinery in a safe manner.
• Knowledge of the safety standards applicable to the Production areas and other pertinent rules / regulations governing work standards.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Education: High School Graduate or GED
• Experience: Have at least 6 months Contech experience. If no applicants possess, the company will accept one (1) year experience in Phenolic/Core area.

WORKING CONDITIONS PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Heavy work. Tasks involves pushing / pulling of material up to 100lbs, lifting up to 85lbs from floor to mid-thigh, lift up to 50lbs from mid-thigh to shoulder, lift 40lbs from shoulder to overhead, carry up to 135lbs and standing and walking during a minimum ten hour shift
