Dripping Springs ISD is seeking a Special Education Teacher to provide individualized learning activities and experiences for students with special needs. The role involves developing or modifying curricula, planning lessons, and preparing instructional materials to match student ability levels.

You may work in self-contained, team, departmental, or itinerant capacities as assigned. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university and a valid Texas teaching certificate

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required special education endorsements for assignment.
• Knowledge of ARD and IEP goal setting and implementation.
• Ability to adapt curriculum and instruction for students with special needs.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with students, parents, and staff to develop IEPs through ARD processes.
• Implement instructional/therapeutic programs for assigned students and document preparation.
• Assess student learning styles and plan appropriate instructional strategies.
• Present material effectively using a variety of instructional techniques and technology.
• Modify regular curricula for inclusion in regular classes as needed.
• Participate in ARD Committee meetings and media/resource selection.
• Maintain open communication with parents and staff; ensure compliance with regulations.
