Job summary

Birch Agency is seeking a School Psychologist to support Kindergarten–8th grade students in Stafford, Virginia for the 2026–2027 school year. The role involves school-based responsibilities across two campuses, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and evidence-based practice.

You will conduct comprehensive assessments, participate in IEP meetings, MTSS, and team problem-solving, while maintaining high professional standards and confidential record-keeping.

Qualifications

• Master's, Ed.S., or Doctoral in School Psychology preferred.
• Active Virginia School Psychologist license or eligibility required.
• Experience in school-based settings preferred.
• Experience with diverse student populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychoeducational evaluations for eligibility decisions.
• Administer, score, interpret cognitive, academic, behavioral, and social-emotional tests.
• Prepare and present comprehensive evaluation reports to MDTs and families.
• Participate in IEP, MTSS, and problem-solving meetings.
• Consult with teachers and parents on interventions and supports.
• Develop behavior intervention plans and evidence-based strategies.
• Provide crisis intervention and short-term counseling as appropriate.
• Monitor progress and recommend programming adaptations.
• Maintain confidential records in compliance with laws.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote student outcomes.
• Engage in professional development and district initiatives.
