Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure.
• Licensure as a school psychologist.
• Knowledge of Special Education laws of Virginia.
• Bilingual preferred.
• Dual endorsement in ESL and/or Special Education preferred but not required.

• Extensive knowledge of psychological instruments.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with a multi-ethnic population.
• Must have effective writing skills.
• Good knowledge of Office of Student Services functions.
• Communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing.
• Meet deadlines and monitor work progress.
• Technology skills: Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Collaborate with staff and parents from diverse backgrounds.
• Knowledge of APS resources and local community programs.
• Knowledge of IDEA and Section 504 requirements.
