Job summary

Alief ISD is seeking a 2026-2027 Special Education In Class Support (ICS) Teacher at Klentzman Intermediate. The role involves developing and implementing individualized plans for students with disabilities to maximize independence and social participation.

The teacher will collaborate with general education staff, maintain accurate records, and deliver SDI per IEP requirements while adhering to district policies and state law.

Qualifications

• Texas SBEC certification required for assignment
• ESL certification preferred or due within 2 years of employment
• Meet NCLB Highly Qualified criteria as required by assignment

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with general education teachers to provide SDI
• Maintain professional relationships with parents and students
• Document IEP development, progress, and conferences
• Comply with district policies, rules and regulations
• Complete SHARS billable PCS documentation and related duties
• Deliver instruction per IEP requirements and PECS tasks where applicable
