Alief Independent School District's Olle Middle School in Houston is seeking a 2026-2027 In-Class Support Teacher to provide SDI within an inclusive classroom and to develop individualized plans to help students reach their potential academically, emotionally, and socially.

The role emphasizes collaboration with general education teachers, maintaining accurate records, administering assessments, and complying with TEA/ARD/IEP requirements, while delivering targeted instruction in line with IEPs.

Qualifications

Texas SBEC certification is required for the assignment.
ESL certification preferred or required within two years of employment starting with 2010-11 hires.
Meets NCLB Highly Qualified criteria as required by assignment.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with general education teachers to provide SDI for students with disabilities.
Establish professional relationships with parents, students, colleagues, and community members.
Maintain timely documentation for IEP development, progress, and required reports.
Administer district/state assessments as appropriate and ensure compliance with TEA/ARD/IEP requirements.
Plan and participate in meetings and provide documentation for IEPs.
