Job summary

Sysco Corp. is seeking a Warehouse Associate to perform general warehouse functions in a fast-paced distribution center. Responsibilities include loading/unloading, depalletizing, receiving, put-away, pulls and replenishments, and selecting product as needed in accordance with PWMs.

Requires working in freezer, cooler, and dry environments with extreme temperatures. Role involves operating MHE such as forklifts and pallet jacks, adhering to safety rules, and ensuring accuracy and productivity.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must pass a functional capacity test.
• Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with supervision, management and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Follow warehouse management system directed selection pick path and stage product for shipment.
• Stack product on pallet with heavier items on bottom and lighter on top.
• Secure pallets with shrink wrap according to PWMs.
• Record item information into the warehouse management system.
• Inspect products for shortages, damage or deteriorated packing.
• Complete pallet jack certification and PWMs.
• Minimize warehouse shrink/damage with supervisor.
• Maintain neat, clean work areas and accurate locations.
• Report unsafe issues to supervisor immediately.
• Observe safety rules to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely.
• Follow proper lifting techniques and PWMs.
• Maintain and report on MHE condition and repairs.
• Use warehouse computers and RF equipment safely.
• Comply with company policies and safety regulations.
• Support food safety policies and prerequisite programs.
