Job summary

United States Cold Storage, Inc. is seeking a dedicated warehouse associate to support daily operations in our La Vergne facility. The role involves loading/unloading, pallet building, and ensuring product integrity in a cold storage environment.

Ideal candidates will meet education requirements and be able to lift up to 70 lbs, tolerate cold temperatures, and operate warehouse equipment safely. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with opportunities for advancement and benefits.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Must be able to bend and lift up to 50 lbs regularly and 70 lbs occasionally with assistance.
• Work in a temperature range from +50°F to -30°F with moderate noise levels.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to facility operations through proper product handling and safety standards.
• Unload and load trailers verifying proper stacking and no pallet mixing.
• Ensure customer product is accounted for and within temperature range before storage.
• Identify and report damaged product and shortages/overages to supervisor.
• Assist in physical inventories to safeguard customer product.
• Prepare product for shipment and ensure correct lot numbers and locations.
• Stack and secure pallets, tape or stretch-wrap for stability.
• Operate safety equipment including forklifts and turret trucks as required.
• Maintain orderly, clean equipment and inspect it daily for safe operation.
