Job summary

Vertical Cold Storage is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team in Dothan, AL. The role focuses on installation, maintenance, and repair of machines, refrigeration systems, and related equipment within a fast-paced warehouse environment.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of warehouse maintenance experience, OSHA knowledge, and RETA/ETA refrigeration certifications; a high school diploma is required. The position offers competitive wage and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• 3-5 years’ experience in warehouse/distribution maintenance.
• Safety and OSHA knowledge is desired.
• ETA Certification in Industrial Refrigeration Course One is required.
• Successful recertification every three years of RETA Industrial Refrigeration Course One is required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure operation of machinery and equipment by performing preventive maintenance on engines, motors, conveyors, and production machines; follow manuals and specifications; troubleshoot malfunctions.
• Locate problem sources by observing devices in operation and using precision testing instruments.
• Remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, and power/tools; inspect parts.
• Care for and maintain building, material handling equipment, and refrigeration systems.
• Identify maintenance requirements by coordinating with management and personnel.
• Review preventative maintenance reports and inspect machines for conformance with standards.
• Resolve maintenance problems by consulting with Maintenance I/management.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment for employees and visitors.
• Collaborate workflow between warehouse, production, office, and admin departments.
• Assist in warehouse management duties as needed.
