Job summary

Americold in Moses Lake, WA seeks a Forklift Operator to safely receive, store, and ship food products using sit-down and stand-up forklifts, RF scanners, and pallet jacks.

You will load/unload freight, inspect for damage, and ensure accurate labeling and packing according to procedures. A GED and 3 months related experience are preferred.

Must meet safety standards and be able to work overtime, with physical capability for cold environments and lifting up to 55 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Three (3) months of related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment to move products to storage.
• Stack and store merchandise, pick and assemble orders for shipment, check freight for accuracy, damage, and infestation, while labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as directed by management.
• Operate equipment (sit down and stand-up forklifts, high-reach forklifts, stand-up straddle trucks, walk-behinds, pallet jacks and RF scanners) in a safety-conscious manner per OSHA standards.
• Meet production standards while maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
• Perform other duties such as inventory, cleaning, or forklift battery changes as needed.
