Job summary

Americold Logistics LLC is seeking a Forklift Operator to ensure safe and accurate receipt, storage and shipment of food products. You will operate sit-down/stand-up forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks and RF scanners to move and store goods in a controlled environment.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to work independently, and willingness to work overtime, evenings, or weekends as needed. This is a full-time on-site position in Kansas City, MO with strict safety and quality

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Three (3) months of related work experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently.
• Willingness to work overtime, evenings or weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently and safely load and unload freight using proper equipment to move products to storage throughout facility.
• Stack and store merchandise, pick and assemble orders for shipment, check freight for accuracy, damage, and infestation, while labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as directed by management.
• Operate equipment in a safe manner in compliance with OSHA standards (various forklifts and RF scanners).
• Meet production standards while maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
• Perform other duties such as inventory, cleaning, or forklift battery changes as needed.
