Job summary

Americold is seeking a Forklift Operator in Georgia to safely receive, store, and ship food products using sit-down/stand-up forklifts, high-reach units, pallet jacks, and RF scanners. This role requires strict adherence to safety standards and accurate handling of inventory.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, stacking, picking orders, and inspecting for damage or infestation. A clean work area and timely production are essential; overtime or weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Three months of related work experience preferred.
• Overtime, evenings, or weekends may be required.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently load and unload freight using proper equipment.
• Stack and store merchandise, pick and assemble orders for shipment.
• Check freight for damage, labeling, sorting, wrapping and packing as directed.
• Maintain a clean, orderly work environment and meet production standards.
• May perform other duties including inventory and forklift battery changes.
