You will follow FIFO, verify orders, and keep trucks and storage areas organized to ensure smooth production and timely deliveries.

This hourly position requires reliability, the ability to work outdoors in all weather, and a willingness to obtain forklift certification within 30 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• External candidates: 6 months forklift experience (sit-down and stand-up).
• Internal candidates: ability to obtain forklift certification within 30 days.
• Ability to learn apple varieties and blends for proper loading.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Willing to work as part of a team and overtime as required.
• Must work outside in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Pulls and prepares orders according to instructions, selecting apple varieties for loading or storage.
• Moves bins of apples to and from storage and loading areas.
• Attach tags or labels to bins as required.
• Use forklift to load/unload trucks and place product for storage.
• Stack and store products in designated areas.
• Ensure inbound/outbound shipments are accurate and undamaged and report quality issues.
• Follow FIFO and inventory rotation practices.
• Assure safety by performing forklift pre/post operation inspections.
• Assist with inventory counts and other cold storage duties as needed.
• Maintain a clean, orderly work area and secure facility.
