Job summary

Vistar seeks a 1st shift Forklift Operator at its Whitestown, IN facility. The role transports freight to inventory, replenishes pick slots, and maintains GMP standards across cooler, freezer, and dry areas. Schedule is Monday–Friday 7am–5:30pm with overtime as needed.

The position emphasizes safe operation, accuracy, and teamwork within a fast-paced distribution environment. Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED and at least 6 months of warehouse experience, with forklift/pallet

Qualifications

• 6+ months of warehouse and/or distribution work experience.
• Must be able to work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime for the position.
• Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout shift and lift 10-90 pounds.
• Able to work in multi-temperature environments (cooler, freezer, dry).
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Locate proper slot on storage racks and set pallets in place with forklift or hand stack items.
• Replenish pick slots with outgoing stock items according to next day's work orders.
• Rotate dated stock to front and remove out-of-date inventory per policy.
• Disperse over-stocked items to available slots.
• Inspect and move pallets with pallet jack or forklift to storage areas.
• Follow safety policies and inspect work area for hazards.
• Complete end-of-shift paperwork and equipment checks.
• Must be able to work Sundays.
