Flex is seeking a Cold Room Lead in Salt Lake City, Utah. This role reports to the Production Supervisor and involves providing leadership and direction to groups of employees to meet production goals.

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Cold Room Lead located in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Lead role involves being responsible for providing leadership and direction to groups of employees.

What a typical day looks like:
  • Coordinate people resource requirements for the department.
  • Communicate priority tasks to team daily and lead efforts towards production goals.
  • Help alert other departments about planned and unplanned downtime.
  • Avoid downtime due to material shortages by ensuring that lines are supplied with sufficient materials.
  • Update “pass down” and “down time” communication reports to ensure communication flow with opposite shift.
  • Follow quality indicators and help alert others if predefined indicators fall below the target.
  • Organize employees’ at assigned workstations and rearrange assignments when necessary.
  • Identify cause of mass failures and make the necessary adjustments to overcome errors.
  • Motivate and mentor individual employees and small groups of employees.
  • Monitor employees’ performance and communicate to trainers what additional training is needed.
  • Have the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform all job requirements in area of responsibility.
  • Be a leader in promoting compliance with 5S+1 and quality assurance practices.
  • Be supervisors first point of contact and be able to fill in for supervisor when necessary.
  • Ensure that accepted reasonable accommodations are met for employees in area of responsibility.

  • Ability to understand and speak English.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to other employees.
