Job summary

La Serre and Bar La Rue, part of DineAmic Hospitality in Chicago's West Loop, seek a cold line cook to prepare salads, appetizers, desserts, and pantry items with precision and speed. You’ll maintain mise en place, label and rotate ingredients, and support a high-volume service.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in a kitchen, pantry or garde manger experience, and a valid Food Handler Certification. Shifts include days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of restaurant kitchen experience required; fine dining and/or high-volume restaurant experience preferred.
• Pantry, garde manger, or cold station experience preferred.
• Valid Food Handler Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare salads, appetizers, desserts, charcuterie, raw bar items (where applicable), and other cold menu offerings according to recipes and specs.
• Portion, garnish, and plate menu items with precision and consistency.
• Prepare dressings, vinaigrettes, sauces, spreads, and other pantry components from scratch.
