Eurest, part of Compass Group USA, is hiring for a full-time Cold Food (Salad) position at the BCBSNC site in Durham, NC. You will prepare and serve sandwiches, salads and other cold items according to approved standards.

You will work with the kitchen team, follow HACCP and sanitation guidelines, and contribute to a clean, efficient service environment. Strong knife and prep skills, time management, and organizational abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and serves sandwiches, salads and other cold food items.
• Obtains daily production schedule and preparation requirements from Chef.
• Stocks and replenishes deli/cold products and condiments following guidelines.
• Carries pans, kettles and trays of food to and from workstation.
• Stores food following HACCP wrapping, dating and rotation procedures.
• Cleans, sanitizes and maintains counters and work surfaces.
• Operates slicing machine to cut meats and cheeses to proper thickness.
• Interacts with coworkers to ensure service standards and cash procedures.
• Maintains a clean, safe work environment per sanitation and safety requirements.
