Job summary

Eurest is hiring a full-time Food Service Worker in Durham, NC to support daily food preparation, presentation and service in a fast-paced environment. The role requires knife, prep, and sandwich skills and offers a schedule from 6:30 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

Pay ranges from $17.00 to $19.00 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits program and opportunities for advancement. Associates will operate in a professional foodservice setting at BCBSNC, following Eurest standards and safety

Responsibilities

• Prepares, presents and serves food as needed.
• Performs prep work: washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Weighs and measures ingredients.
• Carries pans, kettles and trays to and from work stations safely.
• Stores food with proper labeling and rotation.
• Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Distributes supplies and portable equipment.
• Ensures proper quality and serving temperatures.
• Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner.
• Resolves customer concerns and relays information to supervisor.
• Follows sanitation and safety requirements.

Job Summary

Summary: Prepares, presents and serves food as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Weighs and measures designated ingredients.
• Carries pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.
• Stores food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures.
• Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
• Utilizes approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
• Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service.
• Resolves customer concerns and relays relevant information to supervisor.
• Ensures compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
• Assures compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
