Job summary

Compass Group USA's Bon Appétit Management Company is hiring for a full-time Cold Food (Salad) position at St. Mary's College of Maryland in Saint Mary’s City, MD. Location and hours: weekdays 2:00 PM–10:00 PM, weekends 8:00 AM–4:00 PM.

Requires previous food service experience. You will prepare deli/cold items, slice meats and cheeses, and maintain sanitation per HACCP standards. Benefits include uniforms, safety shoes stipend, free shift meal, and access to a campus gym.

Qualifications

• Previous food service experience is required.
• Ability to work weekdays and weekends with specified schedule.
• Knowledge of basic HACCP/sanitation practices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtains daily production schedule and preparation requirements from Chef.
• Prepares sandwich meats, cheeses, condiments and salads using approved production standards to ensure proper quality and portions.
• Stocks and replenishes deli/cold products and condiments following approved merchandising guidelines.
• Carries pans, kettles and trays of food to and from workstation, stove and refrigerator.
• Stores food following HACCP guidelines with proper wrapping, dating and rotation.
• Cleans, sanitizes and maintains counters, work surfaces, refrigeration units and floors.
• Maintains safe work environment and follows safety requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
