Job summary

McKesson is seeking a Quality Packaging Engineer to lead the design, qualification, validation, and deployment of cold chain packaging solutions across the distribution network. You will apply packaging science and quality engineering principles to ensure temperature-sensitive products are properly packaged, tested, and documented under approved protocols.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering or packaging science and at least 2 years in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in quality, packaging engineering, pharmaceutical distribution, life sciences, or a regulated industry.
• Experience supporting cold chain packaging, temperature-control distribution, packaging materials/design, and validation activities.
• Experience drafting or maintaining SOPs, work instructions, validation records, and technical reports.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design, qualification, validation, and deployment of cold chain packaging solutions; execute testing and document results.
• Draft, revise, and maintain controlled packaging quality documentation (SOPs, work instructions, validation summaries).
• Provide technical support for network packaging changes, assess performance, and ensure alignment with standards.
• Participate in packaging-related investigations, analyze data, identify gaps, and develop corrective actions.
• Engage with suppliers to review materials and test data for proposed changes.
• Provide recommendations to support compliant and operationally feasible packaging solutions.
