Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker in Danbury, CT is seeking a Machinist on the 2nd shift (4:00 pm–12:30 am) to set up, operate and maintain coiling production equipment. The role includes a $0.80 shift differential on $26.69/hour and training on 1st shift (6:00 am–2:30 pm) for up to six months.

Qualifications

• Previous machinist experience or mechanical aptitude.
• Able to follow directions, work independently and in a team.
• Strong focus on quality, safety and housekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and maintain coiling production equipment to meet standards.
• Replace perishable tooling and keep machines production-ready.
• Clean, color, sort and package inserts/parts as required.
• Inspect own work to quality standards and correct issues.
• Complete records (counts, time, production reporting).
• Operate inspection and production reporting systems as required.
• Notify supervision of problems or safety issues impacting production.
