Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. in Danbury, CT seeks an experienced Machinist for the 2nd shift (4pm-12:30am). Training on 1st shift (6am-2:30pm) is provided for up to six months.

The position offers $26.69/hour plus a $0.80 shift differential and a comprehensive benefits package. You will set up, operate, and maintain coiling equipment, maintain machine readiness, inspect work, and accurately record production data, while adhering to safety and quality standards.

• Previous machinist experience and/or mechanically inclined.
• Ability to follow directions, be a self-starter and team oriented.
• Strong attention to quality, safety, and housekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain coiling and related production equipment to meet quality and production standards while following all safety and housekeeping requirements.
• Maintain setups by replacing perishable tooling and keeping machines production-ready.
• Clean, color, sort, and package inserts/parts as required.
• Inspect your own work to prescribed quality standards and correct issues immediately.
• Accurately complete required records (counts, time, and production reporting).
• Operate inspection and production reporting systems as required.
• Immediately notify supervision of problems, delays, quality concerns, or safety issues impacting production.
