Qualifications

• Operate coil-winding machines to wind magnet-wire coils.
• Team or individual work at a workstation to fit, fasten and wind coils by hand or with automated machinery.
• Load materials such as coil forms and magnet wire onto winding equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate coil-winding machines to wind magnet-wire coils.
• Fit, fasten and wind coils by hand or with automated machinery.
• Load materials such as coil forms and magnet wire onto winding equipment.
• Watch gauges, dials, and indicators to ensure machines run properly.
• Prepare components for the next assembly step.
• Cut, strip, and bend wire leads as needed.
• Conduct tests and inspections to evaluate quality and performance.
• Communicate production issues to Supervisors or Production Managers to protect output and quality.
• Maintain established production output rate and record data.
