Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Coil Winder (Machine Operator) for 3rd shift in Santa Ana, CA. The role winds transformer coils, inspects quality, and interprets drawings to ensure proper windings. Competitive benefits, 401k, PTO, and holidays apply from day one.

The position offers a 32.5 hour work week with a $3/hour shift premium and a starting hourly rate of $27.04, plus overtime potential. Must be able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Relocation benefits are not offered; candidates within 50 miles will be considered.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred; forklift certification is a plus.
• 3+ years in related field preferred; welding/brazing experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Wind standard coils for dry type transformers.
• Weld and/or braze to join bus bars to foil.
• Use hook-up/hot work tools to meet production demands.
• Inspect product quality and conformance to standards.
• Maintain at least 80% of productivity time standards.
• Interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Keep work areas clean, organized and presentable.
• Comply with export control and security regulations.
