Job summary

Eaton is hiring a Coil Winder (Machine Operator) on the 2nd shift in Santa Ana, CA. The role runs 1:45 PM to 10:15 PM, 40 hours weekly with potential overtime, and includes full benefits and a 401(k) from day one. The hourly wage is $29.80 plus a $1 shift premium.

You will wind coils for transformers and other electrical equipment, following wiring diagrams and work orders, while maintaining safety and quality standards on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future.
• No relocation benefit; candidates within 50 miles of Santa Ana preferred; some exceptions for military.
• 6+ months soldering/brazing/welding experience or a welding certificate from an accredited institution.

Responsibilities

• Wind standard coils for dry type transformers.
• Use coil-winding machines and hand tools per wiring diagrams and work orders.
• Inspect coil dimensions, bus bar location, and overall conformance to quality standards.
• Interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and blueprints.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and adhere to safety regulations.
