Job summary

Integrated Power Services in Minnesota is seeking a skilled rewinder to service electromechanical equipment on site. The role involves removing windings, inspecting for damage, fabricating new coils, winding, and testing to EASA standards.

You will work with AC and DC motors, read and record data, prepare parts for rewinding, and operate hoists and machinery safely. IPS offers extensive training, PTO, 401(k) match, tuition reimbursement, and a collaborative team focused on safety and customer

Qualifications

• Experience rewinding AC and DC electric motors.
• Experience in winding fields, armatures and synchronous rotor poles.
• Ability to perform basic math functions (add, subtract, multiply, divide; fractions).
• Ability to read, write and understand instructions.
• Ability to understand and follow training, operational, and safety procedures.
• Ability to operate machinery and hoists.

Responsibilities

• Rewind various kinds of electromechanical equipment.
• Dismantle and/or strip damaged equipment and inspect for winding damage.
• Document data on unit’s electromagnetic characteristics and operating conditions.
• Prepare reusable parts for rewinding and inspect renewed parts for damage.
• Wind and test rewound equipment and record results.
