Job summary

La Colombe Coffee Roasters is seeking a Coffee Technician to install, troubleshoot, and maintain brewing equipment in the New York City Metro area. The role emphasizes mechanical aptitude, safety, and hands-on repair knowledge to keep customers enjoying exceptional coffee.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of experience with large industrial appliances and coffee machines, plus strong communication and time-management skills.

Qualifications

• Experience: 1+ year installing, servicing, and maintaining large industrial appliances; coffee machines is a plus.
• Ability to follow service call and installation procedures, with adaptability to emergencies and changing circumstances.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Capable of multitasking and prioritizing in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to manage time effectively and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary face-to-face representative of La Colombe while engaging with clients.
• Act as liaison between corporate office, client services, and clients to ensure seamless communication.
• Maintain records in SalesLogix and MAS systems related to machine support.
• Execute work orders, manage machine agreements, and address service tickets promptly.
• Conduct bench testing of new equipment upon delivery and ensure readiness before installation.
• Refurbish used coffee equipment to extend lifespan and prepare for reinstallation.
• Oversee removal and replacement of equipment as needed.
• Coordinate parts ordering and logistics with the home office to ensure timely operations.
• Maintain a well-stocked van with inventory for installations.
