Cooper University Health Care in Camden, New Jersey, is seeking an experienced health information management coding specialist to join our team. You will review clinical documentation, assign and validate ICD-10/PCS codes, and ensure coding accuracy across inpatient and outpatient accounts.
The role involves educating and mentoring coding staff, staying current with payer policies and national standards, and supporting compliant revenue cycle operations. Experience in nursing is a plus.

3 years experience required, 6 – 10 years experience preferred
Applicant must have demonstrated proficiency in coding inpatient accounts, ICD-10, PCS coding and/or complex outpatient coding of Observation, Radiation Oncology, Chemotherapy Infusion, Surgery, Cardiology Cath, EP and/or Interventional Radiology. Previous clinical experience in Nursing a plus.
High School/GED Required
One or more of the following required: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CIC, COC, CPC, CCA, CCC, CIRCC, CCVTC and/or any of the Core Credentials or specialty credential of AAPC or AHIMA.
